Genesis 31:49

When Laban and Jacob and his family were parting, Laban gave them the blessing known as the Mitzpah: "May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other." My pastor's wife has "Mitzpah" etched on her wedding band. Isn't that beautiful?

What is your favourite biblical blessing?

DaHubby and I got "knock-around" rings ($75 simple gold bands) after our wedding to wear for the 10 days we'd be canoeing in Minnesota for our honeymoon.

I don't know if it qualifies as a Biblical blessing but your pick reminded me that DaHubby and I have "sanctified" engraved inside those rings:

2 Timothy 2.21 "Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work."

I don't know that I have a favorite blessing. Maybe I should.

Yup, the Mitzpah is my fave too! My best friend and I have a necklace, she has half and I have the other half. It has the Mitzpah verse on it.

This reminded me of a ring my precious hubby purchased for me. It is a silver band and the inscription on the inside says:

I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine.

It's from the Song Of Solomon.
