A quickie

Woke up this morning and the pain in my arm is gone! SO thankful for this, it was really wearing on me.

Kirk is up and around and seems to be back to normal. We can rule out a concussion - again, SO thankful.

Saw that Debbie updated her blog - that sure made me smile!

Please, don't think I'm crazy, but we've taken in another stray. A friend of Brent's who lives down the street with his grandparents (his own parents are unfit) is staying with us until Monday. He got into an argument with his grandma earlier this week and in a fit of anger left home. Then, reality set in. With no place to go, he came to us and asked us if he could stay "for a few days". We allowed him to stay as long as he promised to go patch it up with his grandma by Monday. (We informed his grandparents of our agreement, so they knew where he was and that we were working towards getting him home.) Yesterday he went to talk to them and worked it out. He'll be going back tomorrow night. Sigh, *kids.* But, to be honest with you, I enjoy having a houseful. There's lots of drama, yes, but I don't know...having them around makes me happy.

Thankful you and Kirk are okay.

You have a kind heart to take in the kids. Praise God for someone who will show them a little love and compassion. They are searching.......

Praise God! Your arm is better and Kirk is ok! I am so thankful that there are kind and loving families out there that help take care of kids when their homelife is rocky. Praise God that the friend knew to come to you, that you would help him. You could have said "NO WAY!" and threw him out on the street, but you didn't. You helped work it out with his grandparents...what a blessing you are to both the teen and the grandparents! "When I was homeless, you took me in." :o)

Blessings my sweet friend-
Andie

Just like those folks that believe their pets "find" them and do not go out looking for a pet...you seem to "attract" those teenagers that need a safe place to stop, gather their thoughts, regroup, and go back into life fighting. Good job, sweetie!

And, doin' a little praise dance with you re: your arm and your boy! Yippee!
