Beth has a doppelganger; I have friends
I've always thought that Beth resembles somebody I know, but I couldn't quite put my finger on who. Yesterday as I was checking Beth's blog, Alli walked by and did a double-take.
"Whoa!" she said. "Does that every look like Kaitlin's mom." (Yes! That's who it is!)
"Is that one of your blog friends?" she wondered.
"Yes, this is Beth," I replied proudly.
"Is she the one who likes tea?"
Chuckles. "No, honey, that's Debbie."
"Teddybears?"
"Nope, that's Denise."
"Frogs?"
"That's Marilee..."
"Books then!"
"Yes. Beth is the one who likes books."
Do you think I talk much about you guys? *smile* Oh, maybe just a little...
My husband wants to go visit Debbie. He is planning our route to Florida so it takes us right past her and we can stop in to visit.
Brent remembers that Sara lives in NYC. He thinks this is so cool. Alli remembers that Sara recently had a baby. (This is the difference between girls and boys, folks.)
We were out window shopping recently, and Alli stopped to point out a kitchen timer topped with a frog. She thought maybe I would like to get it for my "blog friend who likes frogs" (Marilee).
Everybody thinks it's cool that Sharon lives in Florida and Lisa lives in L.A. It seems so glamourous to them.
Yeah, they've heard about Sharon's bat; Denise's eye surgery and her ongoing health challenges (Alli prays for her btw); Denise's new cow and the lawnmower that went MIA; that Erika lives in Japan; how Beth's sister wants to be buried at Wal-mart! They've seen pictures of your kids and hear about the funny things that you share. They think it's neat that we've talked about getting together. (FYI, they all think you should come HERE so they can meet you too, lol!)
I am so surprised how much they know and remember about you all. I'm probably just as surprised at how well I have gotten to know a group of people I've never met.
Have I ever told you how thankful I am for YOU?

LOL Well, tell Alli I appreciate that she can tell us all apart! *wink*
The Vikings are too little at this point to keep everyone straight but DaHubby definitely knows you, Lisa, and some others by their personal name or their blog name! LOL
And, I'm thankful for you too!
One other thing...did you get my emails from yesterday? I sent some stuff re: the "horse" visiting my home computer.
Yes
It is tough to have a BLOGaholic in the house but, we do receive a lot of great support and tips including everything from life to what to fix with duct-tape... etc.......
I'm a semi-blogger (and i don't mean a truck driving blogger) i am none other than DaHubby that you read about on the twolittlevikings blog.
Mike at eyesbyear.blogspot.com
It looks like all your "family" are bloggers. :)
Mike!! So nice to "meet" you - I'll have to check out your blog.
Yes, blogging can become a little obsessive - I think we've all gone through periods where we've said, whoa! maybe I better step back a bit here.
My own "DaHubby" is not a blogger, but he is encouraging and supportive of the friendships that I've made online, and if I'm spending too much time online he will gently remind me. He's very patient with me!
FYI - re: the VML thing...I passed the code on to one of our techs. While he's aware of the VML vulnerability, he has not seen this particular piece of code before. He's going to try sending the code on to the Microsoft newsgroups and see what those geeks (whoops, I meant guys) say. I know that the patch for this went out in January, but if you have recently installed a Service Pack then you had to reinstall the patch. That might be how it got in. Sigh. Sorry I couldn't find out anything more. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything...
Oh YAY!!! I'm on the itinerary!! That's in December, right?
It is funny, isn't it? I find myself saying "My friend so and so" or my "online friend" which generates strange looks once in awhile. :)
We're thankful for you too, Anita!
Yep Debbie, first week of December! I will contact you really soon to see if we can arrange something. I wasn't sure until last week whether we would be going or not because our current vehicle is too old to make the trip, but I bought a new (well, new to us) van yesterday, so we're back on!
Anita, you're my "Canadian friend." I've decided to stop describing you as a woman I know from blogging because as Debbie said, I get some strange looks.
You mean you guys talk about me? Aw, shucks!
Yep we do talk about you!!! And it's all good too cause you're such a caring person and we love you!!!
My step daughter Bekah knows you all the best and then Logan. Try as I might I just haven't been able to get my DH interested in my blog world very much. He has sooooo much to keep track of for our boys that his focus is on that a great deal of the time. But when he's relaxing and resting from work he enjoys hearing how ya'll are doing.
And I don't even notice if I get wierd looks when I say "my blog friend" or "my online friend" cause Dale and I met ONLINE and I've never kept that a secret so my friends and family know that online friends are as real as any other friends!!!
So is OHIO anywere on your route??? Or PA or WV???
Oh and please know that I enjoy hearing about your family too!!! It's nice to get to "know" them through your eyes and heart.
If only it was easier, less costly, and less time consuming to travel... Oh and don't forget passports. The last time we went to Canada they almost didn't let us back into the US cause we only had our driver's liscenses!!! And there's no choice now - passports are REQUIRED!
I can see why... but I've traveled to Canada and Mexico so many times throughout my life without EVER having a passport that I just really don't want to have to get one now. But I also don't want to stop traveling either!!! In fact we've talked about going up into this side of Canada sometime when we have a few days off. (We've only been to British Columbia, right "above" Washington state. Now we want to see what it's like "above" Ohio lol...)
Well, I better get going. I've really missed you!
LOVE YOU!
Marilee
